Tilt and Turn windows operate using a smart gearing system, driven by the handle. The opening pane is hinged along its base, and with a simple turn of the handle, the window’s locking mechanism frees, and the pane can tilt. The movement is limited for your safety – large frames, when glazed can be very heavy – but there’s plenty of ventilation and no need to worry about what’s happening outside. From the tilted position, close the window and then turn the handle again. The pane now becomes side-hinged and can swing right into your room. You can clean the external glass from the comfort and safety of indoors.
